Haynes or Clymer Manual???

i'm combing eBay for a TR4 repair manual, and i've seen several publishers...personally, i always thought Haynes manuals were best. Do any of you folks have any suggestions on what is the best repair manual to get? Do any of you folks have one for sale?
 
If Bentley publishes one for your model I doubt if you can do better than that - They're basically reproductions of what British Leyland dealership mechanics used.

Any of you TR4 guys know if they print one for your autos?

I have both the Haynes and Bentley manuals for my TR7, and the Bentley is the best by far.
 
I have both the Haynes and the Bentley manuals. Niether is perfect. The Bentley manual is probably more detailed, but I find the Haynes manual simplier to follow a lot of times. If I had to choose between one or the other, I'd probably go with the Haynes - for no other reason than that's the one I find myself using most of the time.
 
I have and use both. Have never found a single source that is 100% correct for my cars (esp in electical area). As noted, the Haynes tends to be a little more step-by-step often with greasy-fingered photos of the task being done on a real car (instead of some illustration that assumes you have the component off the car and on a well-lighted bench at eye level). IMO, the original owners manual is also worth having and carrying in the cubby-box.
 
I have a Bentley manual for my 6, and think it's great and very very complete.

How complete is the Haynes? That may be a good investment as well, especially if the price isn't as steep as the Bentley's was!

Well, on a TR3 I took the engine apart and put it back together using the Haynes at a time when I knew almost nothing about engines. For 20+ years Haynes was all I used though I now have a Bentley too. But that experience was the TR2/3/4 manual, cannot specifically comment on the TR6 version.
 
i found a Haynes!

I couldn't find a Haynes manual on eBay but I found that classicgarage.com has BRAND NEW TR4 Haynes manauls for only 25 bucks, plus priority shipping for only 5 bucks. I am a happy clam!

I have a Bentley manual that came with my Triumph when I bought it, but I've always been partial to Haynes. And from the feedback I rec'd from here, it doesn't hurt to have both.
