Haynes or Chilton

Anyone have a preference on which might be a better book for a 1999 Ford Ranger?

Thanks

Chilton's has been a more consistently accurate bunch, IMO.

...but I'm OLD.

Is this your first time being old?

Mine, too. I find it to be a PITA.

I have most of the Helm manuals for my Ranger. Seems when I need some info, it resides in the book I don't have. Helm has an online subscription for about $20 for a month where you can download and print out the information you need. I also have the Haynes manual and the phrase "It Blows" comes to mind. Link to Helms

What's wrong with your Ranger?

i like chilton's as well, and have only resorted to Haynes when an appropriate chilton was not readily on hand.

Alternative to Helm is AllData (occasionally disparagingly referred to as "SomeData"), also a subscription site.

I'd get the Chilton's book.

Chilton it will be
Thanks

I have that particular Haynes manual.

Get the Chilton, it can't be worse.

My favorite statement is, "Remove the thingamabober" (no picture of it's location, no description on how to remove it, no indication of needing a factory special tool to do so).

Followed closely by, "Reinstallation is the reverse of removal." Don't forget to say the same swears in reverse order at exactly the same points...
