May meetup at Hayfields saw about 6 TR6s, an MG TD, MGB GT, several Porsches including one early 356, several Ferraris including what looked like a 275 GTB but it had small vertical taillights (I didn't get to talk to the owner but if anyone here knows anything about that car, please post it here), a Pagani Huayra (the owner of course had to open up the front and rear to show it off), a mid-engined Lancia coupe - type unknown - , a V12 E type, a couple of Jag sedans, an Ashcan Martin DB2, an Alfa Giulietta, a huge 1959 (?) Mercury convertible driven by a guy with a fedora with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, a couple of Mustangs and one of my son's old friends showed up with a tatty AMC Gremlin he bought for $300.00. It was an interesting scene. The Ferrari owners all hung out together, ditto the Porsche guys - it looked like a convention of Alpha males; every other guy looked like Clint Eastwood, but the rest of us kinda wandered around taking it all in and drinking coffee. The parking lot was filled. This event is getting too popular...

Funny how that works - there is one cruise night in our area that has more testosterone than all the others combined - I really can't be bothered to go.
