Tried t' give it a second chance.

...failed miserably.

They shoulda picked Trona, CA as a setting instead.

Re: "Haven" redux

Hey Doc - I've been to Trona, truly one of the garden spots of California. I don't understand why real estate is so cheap there....

Are we talking about the same Trona? I, too, have been there. Desolation. Real estate is cheap because who would want to live there.

Re: "Haven" redux

They DO have a "General Store" tho. :jester:

Re: "Haven" redux

and the high school has an 8 man football team. Home games are played on the rocky soil, those kids just REALLY want to play the game! I stopped in at the general store when I was there (this was just a "few" years ago) for refreshments. Then when I decided I would expend some Kodachrome there a company man type told me photography wasn't allowed. He was much larger than me so I didn't argue. Gotta say, I was just fascinated that people actually lived (and still do) there. I guess it's the isolation cause the place smells from the chemical processing plant and ain't real attractive in a traditional way.
