Hatch seal up-date

This is an update from a previous post. I talked with Martin Macgregor the end of last week was on the phone with him for about an hour, he explained all about the body seals for the hatch and boot and how they came about. The roadster actually had a part number assigned for the boot body seal but production ended on the MGB before the GT body seal was used. He worked building MGB's for 14 years and when they closed he got the specs to have the seals maufactured, in his opinion the body seal is much better than the "C" channel seal that was used. On the GT I have I will be using the new body seal for the hatch along with the secondary outer seal, from what Martin told me the outer seal needs to be used because of the large gap at the top between the body and hatch. I will update as soon as my new seal arrives and I get it installed.

Re: Hatch seal up-date

Have you had any luck tracking down macgregor? I've been chasing that guy literally for a year about door seals. He told me last year he was moving and POOF. Vanished into thin air.

Re: Hatch seal up-date

This past April I spoke to him by phone, ordered B-GT door seals and got them within a week. This is the 'net address that seems to work:

You could check on his current e-mail address and phone number there, too.
