has anyone used pacesetter headers and monza exhaust on a tr7.my question is does thesystem come with the whole exhaust or do you need to reuse part of your old system.my old system is beat so i geuss i would have to go to a muffler shop.let me know if you used this combo and how it worked

I installed Pacesetter header and exhaust system on my '64 Spitfire. I had to fuss with the header to get it on the car. We used an engine hoist and took off the oil pan. The exhaust system was mislabeled and the directions and parts list was for a GT6. The parts list did not match the parts in the bag. Living in Phoenix, I stopped by the shop to get the correct parts and installation sheet. Turns out the Spitfire and GT6 exhaust are the same. I'm wondering what a person on the east coast would do... having to call and send back the parts only to discover the same things would be sent back across the country. I had to have a friend at a shop do the final fitting- welding about four more inches of exhaust pipe. That job took thirty minutes, including the ten minutes including the ten minutes we spent looking for muffler clamps putting the car on the lift. Now that it is on the car, it looks really cool and sounds rather loud. At Triumphest in San Diego we drove through a concrete parking garage and set off a bunch of car alarms. T.T.

I installed the Monza exhaust on my TR7. The exhaust is basically from the catalytic converter back. Was a piece of cake to install. I like the exhaust. Not too lound, but gives a very nice low rumble when decelerating. I don't know if it improved performance, but the car sure sounds faster.

As far as the headers, I couldn't use them because Utah requires emissions testing, and if I installed the headers I'd lose the cat converter and would fail emissions.
