"Sharon" used to be a regular here but I just realized I've not seen her since about July. Hope she's alright what with all the fires, and other stuff in CA these days. Anyone know if she's ok?

Basil

Glad to see you're still around! Sounds like you have your hands full at the moment! (Dave, I guess I missed that post - I thought she last posted back in July - my bad).

Any chance you'll be signing up for our fist ever BCF Global cruise? (although I know you have already done one of your own in the past

Have a great Holiday!

Hi Basil,

I'm still around - thanks for the inquiry! Been buried under a ton of stuff my sisters and I inherited at the family home and just let sit for four years. Two of us have moved in, so it's time to start dealing with and organizing it, otherwise we'll have no room to move around!

Then there's the vet visits (and bills) for the 14-year old cat that recently developed skin cancer on his nose...

Also, have intentionally been trying to spend less time on the computer, although must admit, I do check the BCF every day. And I did pass out 40 BCF cards at San Diego British Car Day in October!

As for the Healey, well, there's an intermittent puff of white smoke upon accelerated from a stop sign that's annoying the heck out of me (and bumming me out). Passed up a trip to Yosemite in October because of it, and have just been driving it locally in recent months. As I told a friend the other day, I've not taken it to a mechanic, because I probably don't want to hear what he's going to say...

But...don't tell my Healey...one of the long-term goals is to get the '64 MGB we inherited from our brother on the road again. A friend got it started the other day, but don't think the fuel pump is working - didn't hear a ticking and had to keep spraying the carburetor with gas. Thing is, it's in better shape cosmetically than the Healey, plus it has a hardtop - I could go up the coast (Hwy 1 and Monterey/Big Sur, my favorite destination) in the winter! (I've got a top for the Healey, but it's still in the box.)

Since the weather turned out so nice this week (it was supposed to rain), guess I'll take the Healey out for a ride now - see if there are any repercussions from mentioning the MG...

In the meantime, wishing you and everyone on the forum the best in the coming year!

Hi Basil,

Happy New Year!

There's going to be another Healey meet in Tahoe in early June, the first week, I think, and I've promised the Keens (who also own a red Hundred) I'd caravan up with them (better get my car in shape before then), so guess I'll have to wait and see the final plans on where and when the BCF get together takes place before I sign up. Either that, or get my car in real good shape, and do both!
