Howdy all!

I'd love to hear from anyone who has made their own yellow-striped hoses for their TR-250. I know that TRF has talked about doing some hoses for years, but I imagine that's a long way off.

Thanks as always! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I SAW SOME USED ONES ON EBAY LAST WEEK . THEY LOOKED REAL CRUMMY AND STILL SOLD FOR 80 BUCKS..........

Hey Bill,
A buddy of mine tried once....it,whatever he did, didn't work. Made a mess. TRF has been promising for years, don't think there is a huge market for them. The green ones they made cost them a bunch, the first batch turned black (ask me how I know). The next batch was better but not great. Have you tried anyone in the UK?

Bill

Heh,Heh. Yea I made my own striped hoses. Black hoses, created stripes running length ways using yellow enamel and a pin striping (Beugler) tool purchased from JC Whitney. Would not want to try this with spiral stripes.

I think they came out pretty well. Problem is the hoses (in fact rubber replacement parts) available now from our LBC suppliers deteriorate so rapidly that these need replacing in only two and one half years.
Have a new set of green hoses yet to install. Don't know if I will attempt to stripe them.

Best, Tosh
