TR6 Has anyone ever chromed or seen chrome TR6 wheels?

I've been trying to decide whether or not to do something with my wheels. I just polished the trim rings yesterday and I really like the look of the stock TR6 wheel with the center cap and was trying to imagine how it would look if the silver part of the OEM wheel was chromed. Sort of like the old deep dish reversed wheels of the 60's.

I think that the trim ring would make it look really deep and it may look really sharp with the mimosa yellow paint and red-lines.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,

No Andrew, But it is not really that expensive and since the wheel centers must be removed and then reinstalled they will come out straight and true. However, at this day and age finding a shop to do it may be the biggest challenge Brosky.---Fwiw---Keoke

Good points. I may look into chroming this a bit further.

I was thinking of repainting the wheels anyhow, as the silver is starting to look a little dull after 32 years, so that will keep me happy until I investigate the options further.
