Has any body seen this car before

Taz, I know the car. Kendall is a friend of mine, and the guy Kendall bought it from rode home from work with me today. I believe I know what Kendall is asking for it, and I think it's a fair price.
The downside is, the cage will have to be redone to meet the letter of the new SCCA rules.
I also think that the original owner/builder is interested in it.

Looks good. Quarter-elliptic car too.

You would have no problem running the present cage in most vintage clubs (but you might need to get rid of the flared fenders for some clubs).

Or just run it with us in EMRA as-is...we'll let you run it with that cage.

Nial, that car was that close to being mine about four years ago!
The fellow that Kendall bought it from had gone through drivers school in my Spit. I let him race that, and he won the Club "F" Production championship in 2002 with it. (Not a bad rookie year!) Then, his wife started spitting babies, pretty much ending his racing days. Now he's got three lovely girls, but no more racing.

And I'm the guy that sold the car to the fellow Jeff is talking about above! I bought the car sight unseen from a fellow in Virginia (George Behring) with intent of putting it on track as my first race car. That was in 2000. Things didn't work out as the cage was a little on the small side and very tight on my left shoulder. I had one tube replaced but it still wasn't going to work for me so I sold the car after I'd purchased the car in my avatar.

The car itself is in great shape and well-done. I've a few more resources now than I did back then and am really tempted to call Kendall and buy the car back.

Attached are a couple of photos that George Behring sent me back in 2000 as we were discussing the potential sale. (trying the photo file thing for the first time with the new forum software...)

Oh, I like it, very purposeful.

I have decided not to buy this car. I know I am going to kick myself later. I even have the OK from my wife. But with some projects coming up this summer,it will be at least a year before I will be able to do anything with it. Who nows I could be dead in a year, so with much regret I have turned down Kendalls offer.
