1970 mgbgt from ireland.
well i might have the wrong harness...or the right one.
a previous owner put 65 dash in the car so maybe a earlyer harness.
I have both harnesses in the car and i thought i could just un plug green wire on old an pulg in to green wire on new for the afternoon.
my first clue was at the end the new harness has a extra connecting block with four male and four female. is there a sub harness?
I cant find where the key should be on the new harness. it should have a some whites and browns going in but i cant find that on the new harness.
the new harness is a north american spec harness I hope i still have the bag with the part number .

Steve -

Not sure I can help, based on what you've posted, but if you don't have these, they may shed some light on your issue. You can compare the different years' diagrams and help determine what you've got and how to make it work.

yeah i just dug throurh the receipts it is a 70gt harness.
I looks like the harness in there is a folded over LHD harness should I cut my losses. and keep the old. I need to clean up a few scary bad splices.

Im doing a RHD to LHD conversion.

ahh the odd block is for the overdirve
might explain why it dosent work.
