Hardtop weight?

Guessing 25-30 lbs. Just awkward to handle by yourself unless you've got really long arms.

The hard top for my MK2 weighs 30 pounds. It is a challenge to put it on by myself but it's very doable.

I have shipped 2 by Greyhound, shrunk wrapped well and reinforced a bit, the tops were not perfect so wasn't to concerned if got scratched along the way. very reasonable.

if you want protection against scratches etc.. I suggest a plywood built box and ship by trucking lines or you may luck up with U-ship

I shipped one greyhound - bubblewrapped the corners and it mostly held (wasn't in great shape to start) under $50

Greyhound. They are pretty tough. Mine was sent to me in a custom box made wth 1x1 and cardboard. The glass is not replaceable, have it removed and packed very securely!
