Hardtop holddown hardware?

Can anybody identify what type of hold-down mechanism was used on this hardtop? It looks like the clamp is on the outside front edge and clamps down over the top edge of the windshield. The top fits my 62 MKII Sprite fairly well, may not be perfect, but does the job. Also, where is the best place to purchace new gasket/seal material for hardtop?

Thanks for any help that may be provided. Having the top will make for warmer trips this winter.

I don't know about fasteners but Martin MacGregor sells the rubber seals for the Mk 1 Sprite hard tops. He puts out top quality products. His URL is https://tinyurl.com/55j5a3

I have a hard top for my 62 Mk 2 Sprite and will probably need to get new seals for it myself. My hardtop is different from yours because I bought my car and the top directly from Donald Healey and the top is a different design. My fasteners are all inside the car. I was planning to contact Martin myself when I get to working on my hard top.

2nd that about MacGregor, but CALL him. His websight is comletely out of date. And don't give up trying to contact him. I think it took me 4 or 5 weeks before anyone actually answered the phone, and another 5 or 6 weeks to have the parts arrive, but it was definetly worth every bit of the hassle. Not only is it the ONLY place I found to get some of the rubber parts, but they are GRADE A, #1 Top Qualitiy.

& be prepared to wait & wait for his stuff....he's a one-man shop that's focused on quality.

Yep, the clamps go over the front edge of the windscreen & pull the top down to it.

If you can't find the hardware or weatherstripping, I know a junk place that'll take it off your hands!

The top clamps are (were) available from AH Spares in the UK.
And the glass rubber and bottom seals are standard stuff that you can find in the JC Whitney catalog under weatherstripping. Look close at the profiles.

Thanks one and all. I called MacGregor, I don't mind paying or waiting as long as the quality is worth the wait. I came from the "old school" training... If you do it correctly the first time, no need to do it over". But I must say, I got through to Mr. MacGregor the first try. I must be living right. As stated earlier, very friendly and helpful facility. He was not able to help with the hold down clamps and no Great Pumpkin, I am not ready to give in to a junk place, not as long as there is duct tape and WD40!!! I did see the top clamps at AH Spares. Has anybody ordered from these folks?

Spritenut - You wouldn't happen to have a photo (close-up) showing how they attach to the hardtop? It look like the ones on AH Spares screwed into the fiberglass, or do they have a fastener / screw that goes through a pre-drilled hole to the inside? They may be my only option, but thought I would ask. Thanks

ahh Ill have to try him the Im missing the brackets for mine the moss UK cataloge shows them and says ask but they dont know when the are going to have them
