Hardtop Fit

Nope. It will only fit 4 seat roadsters. So this will include
100-6
3000 MK1 BT7
3000 MK2 BT7

They won't fit, I know I have been looking for a 2 seater hardtop for a very long time. Slimline makes a hardtop that they claim will fit any big Healey. A friend of mine has one on a two seater and it does look "Okay" but not original. It's the area around the rear fenders and rear shroud that are different than 4 seaters. Someday I hope someone starts making another good reproduction of the original 2 seater hardtop. They really do look sharp on the car.

I have a BT7 factory hardtop for sale. Needs complete restoration and is missing some hardware, but the thing is a good start on these rare items. They seem to be going for quite a bit these days and considering I am dropping so much into transmission parts lately I could use the dough.

I would also love to get a hardtop for my BN6, but you sure don't see them very often! I actually bought a hardtop sight unseen years ago. The price was very cheap and there was a chance it could have been a two seater - but it wasn't. I have toyed with the idea of converting it to a two seater, as I have heard that it is possible, but have never tried.

Take it from one that found out the hard way--the differences may seem slight but when you put a 4-seater top onto a 2-seater you'll see why it is not worth the effort. My wife has a BN7 and after after going down this blind alley I finally located a factory top for her car. If anyone is interested in purchasing a 4-seater top in need of restoration let me know--I'm located in Maryland. Or better yet just come down to our place on May 30 with the car for our picnic (www.chesapeake.net/~oritt/) with the car and we'll load it aboard!

Would like to find one for a BN2 but have NEVER seen one anywhere for sale or in a show.

A friend of mine from Pittsburgh has one on his 100--it is a bit ungainly looking but interesting nevertheless.

Here's an aftermarket one for a 54 BN1 pictured here in 1955. The entire picture will be featured in an upcoming article in AHCUSA magazine that I'm working on. Funny story about the hardtop but you will have to wait for the magazine to come out
