Hardtop anyone?

They must have really been cranking these things out. I've got TS76498 thats titled as a 59. But then again I've also got TS23679 thats titled as a 57, tags from TS25920 titled as a 58, and tags from TCF679 titled in 63. How many of these were they putting out in a month? If TS60000 was in Oct, even if TS76498 was sold in the end of Dec thats still roughly 5500 cars a month or 180 cars a day. I don't think they build that many cars a day now.

I figured that number seemed a little high to be a 59, more like 60 or 61. How do you explain TS23679 titled as a 57 though? By the number it's a 3A and not an extreamly early one which should be 58. Oh well, who knows how it all happened back then.

There have been a lot of mistakes made over the years, one way or the other, and maybe even a few deliberate deceptions. I owned TS39781LO for over 10 years before anyone realized that the number on the paperwork didn't match the number on the car. It just wasn't a problem until the law that your insurance company has to notify the state that you have insurance (the ins co had the number off the car instead of the number off the paperwork). When I reported the issue to the DMV, they just changed the number on the paperwork.

And the Stag I got with LE2013LBW on the plate (which should be a 71 Stag with an automatic transmission) is apparently a 72 or 73 body with a 71 interior, 73 engine and a 72 manual transmission. Obviously a previous owner has assembled it from several different cars.
