Happy New BCF! Just wondering if any of you have any New Year’s resolution, or just plans?

Not necessarily resolution, but some plans:

  1. I recently bought a MSM NOMAD star tracker and am looking forward to Milky Way season to really try it out. I already have an iOptron tracker but this NOMAD is much more compact and lighter - better for backpacking.
  2. I do plan to learn a bit more about the Final Cut Pro video editing program and do more video. I have started trying to learn FCP but so far have only scratched the surface.
  3. Definitely plan more trips for photography: Bosque Del Apache, Bisti Badlands/ Valley of Dreams, just to name a couple, and likely another camping trip to Arizona. Also want to take the Granddaughter camping more this year.
  4. Hope to get my bathroom remodel done this year (hopefully soon).
How about you?

1. Increase attendance at our new Sikorsky Dream exhibit at the air museum. We trace Igor Sikorsky's life as a child and teen under Czar Nicholas II, his escape from Bolshevik Russia to America, his development of the first American helicopters, his work with Charles Lindbergh and Pan American Airways in developing trans-Pacific lights in the 1930s, his aviation innovations from the 1940s to the early 1970s, and his realization on October 25, 1972, that his dream to invent machines to save people's lives had become reality.

2. Add a medicinal plant garden at Sturbridge Village.

3. In the spring, enlarge my orchard here at the house, and add more perennials to the usable (i.e. not full of rocks) area.

4. Evaluate the Yale Forestry report on my 20 acres, and take appropriate steps to preserve its unimproved status.

5. Drink more cider.

Have a look at Cyberlink Power Director, not the latest version as that is all Ai and has lost a lot of the toys
but any version around the 20 ish mark. I find it much more user friendly and far less complicated than all the big boys that are focused on
comercial film developer. you can download trial versions to have a go.
C.P.D. just works,

the daughter finishes her A level exams early June and is currently applying for Univercity to get a degree in Musical Theatre.
It will be her 18th birthday June 28, so flights are booked for 25th June as she wants to have her comming of age party in the Philippines,
So that will be this years budget shot to heck,
But still wanting to get back onto the Panther Lima number one, as it is now moving under its own steam would be nice to get
the bodywork all fitting nicely and ready for paint.

What's wrong with having it in your town?I'd say,if she wants it
overseas, let her pay for it herself. And why make attendees shell out
all that extra money?

Don't have any family here. Not been to see wife's family in six years. Besides we can hire a pool area with cottages, function room, entertainment, videoke, drink eat and swim all night, murder a few songs and then sleep it off for a fraction of what it would cost here.
Will be doing an overnight at Subic bay too.
I love it there.

No real resolutions. REALLY want the Vauxhall on the road. Will continue to work on the house and definitely some travel in our future.

I kinda figured you had family there. So does my sister.

I plan now, to get the shovel and dig out. First real SW OH snow in several years, round a foot outside in the driveway blowing around. At least with the temps in mid/low 20s it isn't wet snow. Supposed to be done coming down by mid afternoon.

To get the sea cruise over & done with,
and get the GT back on the road,& have
all of our vehicles fixed.
