Kind of like cutting off one end of a piece of string and tying it to the other to make it longer, ain't it?

We need a Daylight Savings Bank with sunrays as currency. You can withdraw what you need when you need it and deposit when it's nice out and your sick or something. Let the people decide when we want to use it.

You mean that doesn't WORK??!!

Great, now my circadian rythems will be out of whack for the next six months. Sort of like a LBC out of "time" I will still run, buy its a little rough.

LOL, lots of sleep last nite, seems good here.

Heck, I'm glad they changed it. I was tired of never seeing daylight, as it was barely light by the time I got to work, and usually twilight when I left.

I've also never had any problems adjusting to the time changes, either, so other than finding that I forgot to change one of my wristwatches or something the whole thing's pretty smooth for me.

The farmers don't like this daylight savings time nonsense. The extra hour of sunlight is bad for the crops. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

Am I the only one who loves when we set the clocks forward? We get an extra hour of light in the evening for working on projects, driving our cars, etc. And it's still light when I leave work instead of dark which makes the commute faster. I can't think of ANYTHING I don't like about it.

All my clocks were set as instructed, including the puter which did its thing. Only problem - my cellphone. I was told to turn it off and it would reset itself. I have a UT Starcom PPC 6700 and.... you guessed it. I couldn't shut the confounded thing off. I know you press and hold the power button but that didn't work. Also tried to reset the thing and that didn't work. Then /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif light bulb moment....I took the battery out and put it back. All is well now, right time.

As to hours of daylight, I'll adjust...

Oh yes, I'm going for a nap now.

I think EVERY State should follow Arizona`s lead, they said shove your D.S.T. where "The sun don`t shine". Of course bieng retired, D.S.T. virtually has NO effect on me! It served it`s purpose THEN, but why do THEY insist on this ANTIQUATED NONSENSE now.

We lost our four day ten hours shifts the last year I worked because of complaints by the "Soccer Mom`s"
maby D.S.T. is THIER fault /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

I agree, there is no reason for DST to exist. We should just pick a time and stay with it. It makes no sense whatsoever, unless you are stuck in WWII.

Sun, Earth, moon, a number of other planets (jury's still out on cometary bodies with names)... All else is just legislators tryin' to be seen "doin' their jobs." Tribal Bovine Excretia.

Arrggghhhh!!!!
I forgot to change the clock on the coffee pot! The stuff had brewed, turned itself off and was cold by the time I woke! On a monday!

I wish the time was like it is all year long!! &, hopefully, we can continue extending it until the "other" time is gone altogether! I get an extra coupe of hours out in the garage & MG Graveyard because of it!

I go the other way. I hate it beyond words.

Now it's dark when I get up in the morning again. How this is "saving" anything when I have to have the lights on is beyond me.

[rant]The pathetic fraction of the overall energy bill this is designed to address is ridiculous. Make greener cars if you want to make a real difference.[/rant]

I just get up later....hehehehe

How could you not like the extra evening daylight to take the car out! (My car turns back into a pumpkin when the sun goes down)

Because it's up on blocks.
I'd rather have the ability to see my way to the shower when I get up. Unlike Tony, I don't have the option to get up later - I'm a wage-slave.

The time change screwed up my weekly call to our UK office. Other than that, I'm enjoying the light in the mornings and evenings... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
