My 1960 BT7 was “born“ this week 63 years ago. I‘ve been a part of the car’s life for 60 years. Tonight we celebrated my wife’s 78th birthday at the Harbor House restaurant in Santa Barbara, CA where I took her on a date 60 years ago in the Healey when we were in college. In1963, the surf and turf was $9.95. Tonight it was on the menu for $109.95. The price may have changed a bit, but the car and the girl are still a part of my life. Here is a photo of the car and girl from 1963.

Very sweet. You really should bring that photo up to date if you can. We have recently unearthed some photos of us in our 20s with some dear friends and all any of us could say when we looked at them was " man, we were soo young". We are all fortunate enough to laugh about it. While you were being awesome in your Healey, I was driving a 1966 Simca 1000 that was way more dangerous and was not a car any sensible woman would want to be courted in.

Wonderful. I should have guessed you'd have that on tap.

Congratulations and happy anniversary. Appears to be UCSB campus near dormitories - the "meet-up" place for over 60 years.
