I bought some of the 1/25 scale promotional models - $1.00 each,including postage.
It seems that most of them were Baby blue for some reason.
 
Brother had a "Forest Green"(?) convertible. 289 V8. Western PA winter salt got it eventually. Girl cousins had the same color and chassis, but the straight six. I'd like to have either one today!

When I saw them at the Worlds Fair I didn't give them much notice.
I was familiar with the Falcon platform and all it's issues.
By the time I began to appreciate them prices were astronomical.

I'm still waiting for them to grow on me.
 
Imagine the "Great Inflation" of the Weimar Republic. Your cash has 100,000/th of its face value. You have a $1,000,000 bond, but it now only buys one loaf of bread.

Yep, they used to literally bring wheelbarrows full of cash to buy one little thing during that period since what was needed was too big to carry in your hands or pockets. Those in charge today need to sit through lessons on that period to try to get them to understand the consequences of wild spending and printing money faster and faster. And you know, if they at some point crash the dollar, not on will we be poor but all the millionaires and billionaires could be too if their cash has no value for anything but starting that winter keep warm fire...
