Happy Birthday - My AH 3000 turns 50 on Sept 6th

Hey Guys-
I am headed out to the garage to pull the Healey out, give it a wash and a wax, and take her for a Birthday run. She turns 50 years old tomorrow, according to her BMIHT Certificate. She was built on September 6th and 7th and dispatched to a dealer in Fort Worth TX on September 14, 1960.

This car later made it's way to Austin TX where my father bought it back in 1975. It has been in my family ever since and was handed down to me back in 2001.

This car hauled me to Little League practice as a kid, my brother and I both learned how to drive in it (sitting on phone books), we each drove it to High School in San Diego, and I even asked my wife to marry me in it.

I love this car

First photo was taken at the veteran's cemetery on Point Loma (San Diego), and the subsequent photos are in the garage here in Texas where she now is kept high above where the kids can door ding it.

Matt-

That is a great history for that car and you.

Thanks guys. I've been spending the day cleaning wire wheels. I guess this is something a Healey deserves on it's 50th

:savewave:

Well it sure looks like someone took very good care of that little car.--Keoke--

 Happy Birthday Mr. Healey. You don't look a day over 21!

P.S. Nice digs by the way.
