Ah, 1960s fashion. Colorful and different from their parents. As a country kid growing up, saw very little of this outside TV. You know that her costume for the show had to cover her belly button, the network felt it was too risqué for it to be seen.

I believe Mary Ann on Gilligan’s Island also had to cover her belly button.
 
Reminded me of another. If you ever saw any of the beach movies that Annette Funicello did during the 1960s, did you notice she was the only one wearing a one piece?? All the rest of the girls would be in bikinis but she was still under contract with Disney and Walt would not allow exposure of her stomach. Just another of those funny little things, so dressed kind of like she was a mom there with all the rest...
