Not exactly a new product but one that is really handy.

I was in Ace Hardware a couple days ago and saw this pump in the automotive section.

It is for oil or gear lube and screws on a quart oil bottle. Called Plews LubriMatic #55-001 Cost was $7.00

Those are nice but you will find they are good for about 2 or 3 uses then they fall apart. I use one to put gear lube in the out drive of my boat. For some reason they just start leaking all over the place.

I got one and it made changing the tranny lube in the Datsun 5-Speed a million times easier. The filler hole on the Datsun no longer convieniently lines up with the access on the tranny tunnel. I figured that one out after most of a wasted afternoon trying to get 90 weight to flow uphill!

Gear oil seems to melt some of the pump bits over time. Not sure if that'll happen with a Plews one, tho.

Some years ago, Horsemits "observed" me struggling with a leaky one and mumblin' profane words... she went into the hovel and came out with a one-quart "zippy bag" and proceeded to hack up a quart gear oil bottle: removed the "spout" cap, cut off the threaded neck about half an inch below the threads, open'd the baggie and inserted the "neck" into a corner of the bag. Screw'd on the "spout" from the outside and poked a hole in the corner of the baggie... Handed it to me and said:" Think: cake decorating!"

Disposable squeezy-thingie you can fill with about any fluid and maul into position to empty into otherwise inaccessible places.

Ten cent bag and a nozzle FREE with every bottle of gear lube.
