I read in the Haynes manual that the next site after rear drum for brake lever adjustment was where the cable attaches to the brake lever mechanism itself. To get it done would violate the rule of not letting the ol' noggin get under the car no matter how many solid objects were holding the car up. I went to Google which referred me to: www.britishcarspecialists.com and lo and behold on p. 20-21 were truly clear and well illustrated instructions on how to adjust at the rear:take out the clevis pin, screw in the yoke at the end of the cable three turns (holding the fitting on the cable so it would not turn), and lo and behold now tight at midway up with handle.
 
Well that is the standard method used . However, each rear brake should be adjusted for proper clearance prior to adjusting the cable. But it sounds like you are good to go.

As for getting under the car get use to putting it up correctly as you will be going there most likely in the near future.---Keoke
 
I hope someone takes up where Norman left off on BCS Tech book that he continually added to prior to his passing this year. Hopefully David will but if not due to demands of running BCS, maybe one of the tech guys in AHCUSA or AHCA might start to contribute their articles to David to add to Norman's tech bits book. The above was added after I got mine in 2006 and just goes to show you how valuable it is. I had not updated mine with new pages but will add the missing ones now. I am sure Norman is smiling down on all of us as we tinker with our Healey's !
