hand grip straps

In some older cars, you see straps at the B pillar. I'd like to repair/replace the ones in my ol' Mercedes-Benz - and maybe start making the straps for other classic owners.

Material looks somewhat like modern corded belt material:

Any suggestions where I could find that type of material? might be called "cordage"?

Tom, Not sure if color is critical, but Snyders, https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/search.php?q=assist+strap&x=0&y=0 has these for a model A Ford. Their fabric, where most are soft vinyl or plastic. PJ

Paul - thanks very much for that reference. I'll contact them and try to learn where they get the material.
