Oh for some home-made hamburgers. Lightly toasted bulkie roll, beef and onion slice grilled outdoors, sharp cheddar, slice of tomato ... be still my heart.

But - it's 19F outside and there's four feet of snow on my deck. grumble grumble

Of course, there's at least one BCF member who's enjoying very UN-typical Utah weather. He and his family shall of course remain nameless, as they'll probably soon be grilling their own hamburgers tonight. Outdoors. Wearing shorts and flip flops.

grumble grumble

PS - we've had nearly five feet of snow, over 12 days out of the last 16 days. We actually saw something called "sun-light" today, but snow returns tomorrow.

Shovel a path and light that sucker up Tom!

Right you are Elliot. Just need to polish up the snow blades ...

Funny!
I routinely use my barbecue all winter long. In the fall, I move it close the the porch door for easy access in the winter.
You can also go to BK and get some aftershave until winter is gone.

Gol-dern it! When did you take that photo? I thought Doc never wore the crown inside the house.

:jester:

It isn't Utah but here in San Diego we are having a Santa Anna wind and it is about 80 outside, thinking about turning on the AC (but remember that we also have earthquakes AND fires! )

Why Tom, who on earth are you talking about? not me, I hope...

As it happens, I am eating a hamburger while writing this post. Not homemade; it's from Wendy's, but it's still a hamburger. We're at the state wrestling tournament and just got to our hotel with a quick bite to eat before bed.

If it makes you feel any better (or worse), though, I did grill hamburgers at home two nights ago wearing only a T-shirt (and pants). Yum, yum. Hang in there; winter has to end sometime.

Hey Keith - best wishes to Matt on the mat!

Our State Fair is under way, the place is awash in junk food. Latest 'mash-up' is a hamburger in funnel cake. May try that as we walk around trollin' th' carnies. But we're seeing some ugly low temps, so may have to wear pants with shoes and socks. Our normal weather seems to have gone to Utah.

mmmmm - yum! A Burger King Noah's Ark!

Chicken! Fish! Beef! - and all the grease you can handle! (for a while ...)

Ketchup is the work of the Devil.

Doc, I have great memories of going to the state fair when it used to be at the fair grounds next to UT.
Fun times!

Now it's practically across the street from us, well within walkin' distance. We've attended quite a few years. Not much of a fair-goer now though. The "thrill rides" aren't, I've had real thrill rides. And bein' puked on by some 12-year-old with motion sickness after glommin' down a pizza and three corn dogs has even less appeal. The people-watching has become mundane, and being in a large crowd at a high-profile event makes me as nervous as a pregnant cat. I'll see photos and just pretend I enjoyed it.
