I heard on NPR that Hatians were told to evacuate but most do not own cars and the government did not provide any buses. No where to run.... Sad.

I was in a flight crew when in the Navy stationed in Gitmo and we used to fly liberty hops to Port Au Prince Haiti. First thing I noticed the first time there was how poor the people were. Cardboard and tin shacks on one side of the street and upper class on the other side in very nice houses. Different life style for sure, made us appreciate our American life style so much more.
