Hagerty Insurance - - Nice company

Last Saturday the 3rd, we were on our way to a car show in Wilmington, NC. On the way a car passed us and threw a rock, hitting the windshield of our 72 "B" and cracked it. Monday I called Hagerty and told them what happened. This nice young lady took my information and said she would get back to me within twenty four hours. Yeah sure! Four hours later she called and told me to order a new windshield at the $ 249.95 price plus $25.00 shipping. Today she called me back and asked how much it would cost to install it. I told her I would install it my self as I wouldn't take it to a shop. Ok she said and we hung up. About 45 minutes later she called me back and said she has an estimate of cost for installation of 6.3 hrs at $35.00 per hr. They are adding that to the check for the glass even though I'm doing the work my self. How's that for an insurance company. Hagerty will get all my business from now on!
 
That's great to hear -- I switched to Hagerty for the Tunebug a couple months ago. Nice to hear there is still some customer service around.
 
That's one of the reasons I use them. Nice people. Have not had a claim yet but when I do I hope I get service like this.
 
That sounds like some great service, bucks in your pocket rather then out.

I've found most classic car insurers to offer exemplary service in the event of a claim. The only one I've tested personally was Grundy Worldwide, who had a large check in my hands, no questions asked, within a few days of an incident. I've heard equally inspiring stories from Haggerty, like the one above.
