The other day I read in our local paper and saw on the news how a guy got hit by a slow moving train or the other way around. It seems he couldn't see the train because it was getting dark and the flashing red lights were too close to the train, and ran right through the boom and into the side of the train.

Was he on foot, or driving a car, probably another victim of Cellphoneitis.

And from that day forth, at all family get-togeathers, he was referred to simply as; "stupid Uncle Ernie"

Walt, i once on a condo close to one of them r.r. crossings, i lived there for 3 years in that time four people tried running the gate and well they wont be doing that anymore, i also lost a friend in savn. Geo. trying to go around the gate on his trik-bike. didnt make it. trains always win......

Walter - (sorry to hijack the thread for a moment) - I see you are now in "Fletcher" Ok. Where is that and when did you leave Lawton?

mailbox, yup talking on the cell phone, that a better excuse then deliberately trying to run the gate?...there all daft i tell ya... daft!

Bet he was talking to the blond walking on the track who got hit by the same train...hehehe

Funny Tony.
Bas, I moved two and a half years ago, and Fletcher is a small town (pop. about 2000 average age of said pop. 65) that is about half way between Lawton, and Chickasha off the Elgin exit on I44.
