Guiness Book of Record for longest EBAY AD!

Holy Moly!! Nice car, but how many people will get bored reading that gumpf and look for another one?

That car was on EBay last year, I think by the same auto group.

Sad to see how little money is offered for a car that has had that amount of work done to it -- the ghastly (IMHO) dash excepted.

When you consider that the Team Sprite car fetched over 4 times the current bid for this car, you wonder what is different here... Or is it just fundamentally that Bugeyes are more valuable?

Bugeyes are more valuable, no question about it. Made fewer years and fewer of them.

I do think the Bugeye should hold its value a little better, if only because they were only really produced for the 3-4 years and have their unique exterior look (even though they are all so similar under the skin). That said, a good car is a good car and should be valued by its condition! I do not think that dash does anything for the value or appeal of the car (even though it is quite well executed artistically). The length of the write-up would put me off a bit. Long-winded histories instead of the straight facts make me a little suspicious of the "hard sell" as to the "real" value of the car!

If I bought that car the first thing I'd do is find a replacement dash. The one that's in there is pretty funky, be cool to have hanging on the wall in the garage, but not in the car. Second thing: junk the carpets and get the correct red ones in there.

But it does have the correct heater knob with the big "H".

Nice car but the dash is a bit much.

Jack, ask them how much for the heater knob! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Like his steering wheel though!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif How about you, Jack?

Hey Jack
