15 minutes from my house. I'm sooooooo stoked. I'm glad it's Toyota and not someone like Kia or VW.

Heard that on the news - congrats! I understand that the new interstate had a bit to do with that, along with air quality numbers.

Not an interstate just yet. It was built to interstate specs but needs some work. The thought of all of it just makes me /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif.

You can say good by to "those air quality number"!
Sorry for your gain

I hear they have a pretty decent record, and it's not like they are going to be employing illegals (like some other major American Corps. I could name but won't /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

The air quality will go away as more cars are brought in by all the new employees and then that will spur other business to develope which will need more housing and then they will need the contractors which brings in more people. It's a vicious cycle. I live in the Seattle area. I saw it happen

We have never had any issues with "air quality numbers". Most people around here have never heard of air quality numbers. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Congrats! I work at a Toyota dealer, and have ssen some of the plants in videos and whatnot. Toyota treats it's employees very well, and are committed to the enviornment.
One of Toyotas biggest advantages is not having unions. And whenever a vote comes up the employees don't opt for the union because conditions and pay are already good.
Of course Unions are fuming over this.
I wish they'd open one around here.

I'm diggin the Tundra Banjo. What can I expect to pay for one of those bad boys?

Let's just say, you're lucky it only comes in automatic as you'll need your remaining arm and leg to work the gas and steer.
And pony up the extra for the 5.7! It REALLY is worth it!! That's the new Toyota 350cid, at 380 HP and 401 Lb/ft of torque!
It's just fun hehehehehehehehehehe
Takes nuttin to peel 'em in 2nd or 3rd gear.

So I take it these are spensive? I've got a list of cars I like but cannot decide what to buy.

Hey, thanks dude. We are very excited around here. It will be a big shot in the arm for us and the surrounding area. The construction of everything will be in the billions (yea 10 zeros). I also agree with you about the union issue, and I'm a union member. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif Go figure.

Yea. I think most of 'em are hovering around the $40k mark.
To me that's a LOT of money for a truck. Of course, take a look at one. It's a LOT of truck.

I live in western Pa.....

At one time, the smokestack capitol of the world.

We never really worried about it though.....

It just blew over to Jersey. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Yeah...we noticed.
And *we* got all the blame for it too!
Grrrr. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

But hey.....The ones that haven't died or become sterile are morphing into a super race.

Resistant to all types of toxins & radiological effects, they will be the only ones to survive a future environmental catastrophe.

Well...People from NJ & mice. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
