Guess what I found!?

When I bought my Daimler Special Sports, a couple of things that were missing were the horn button and the left side dash ashtray. You can see the missing horn and missing ashtray (just above the left side glove box):

Since I bought this car the left side glove box has been locked and none of the keys I had would unlock it. Well, I finally caled a locksmith and was able to get the glove box unlocked. Guess what I found inside? Yep, the horn button and the ashtray. The horn button in the glove box was not complete so its a good thing that Several weeks ago I ordered a new horn button from David Beales in UK (not cheap).

Anyway, I'm glad I found the missing ashtray.

Great news Basil, and I'm surprised (pleasantly so) that you can still get parts for these grand old ladies.....Very pleased for you!

Some things are easier to obtain than others. I am fortunate that my SS is mostly complete. The front bumber over-riders are missing, which I understand are as rare as hen's teeth.

That's an absolutely gorgeous dash! It will look even better with the parts you've just found! Congrats!
