I think I found some recaros that will fit in my gt6+. Just wanted to know if anyone had some pictures of a gt6 with recaros.

I have never seen one. Please provide pics/measurements/model # if they fit. It is generally accepted that it is hard to fit anything other than the stock seats into a GT6 or Spit.

Never seen Recaros in a GT6/Spit, but if they fit . . .

You may have to bolt them directly to the pans because you'll probably find that the set sits too high in the cockpit.

Please let us know how this turns out, very interesting. :yesnod:

Years ago I had Corbeau seats fitted to our GT6. The Corbeau seats (like the Recaros) had very pronounced side bolsters. Using those seats made you sit "off-center" relative to the steering wheel. It created an awkward driving position where instead of having your arms straight ahead, you were reaching over towards the center of the car to hold the steering wheel. My Corbeaus are now in the attic and I re-installed the original seats after having them recovered.

I hear ya, Doug. It's very diffcult to find any seat that fits properly in a GT6. And if you're tall and/or large, make that "impossible".

Carefully reconditioned stock seats are fine. Tear the seats completely down and replace everything with new stuff, they're pretty darn nice. Just please don't compare them to modern car seats, they're simply not going to measure up.

Miata seats don't fit either, I put them in and then took them out immediately. I'm too tall (6'2"). Smaller folks like them, sometimes.

Stick with the stock seats. It's not cheap to redo them, but it's well worth the effort and price IMHO. Nothing looks better, they're actually very attractive, even by modern standards, when redone.
