so i finally got my hands on some original spacers for the GT6 to go between the carb and manifold, but do i use the single hole spacer and gaskets or the one with the little extra finger sticking out of the hole? i should really have taken a picture. :nonod:

so which spacer? and what orientation do i put the little finger? that side of the carb has two different holes that you can line the spacer up with. i did find a drawing in the parts book from triumph that shows US and Sweden models having the finger'd spacer and kinda shows the orientation, but wanted to double check with the knowledgable GT6 minds here on the forum.

FYI, i've got a 1972 GT6 MK3 with CDSE (V?) stromberg carbs.
 
Just had a look at mine in the garage (installed on the car) and best as I can tell the "finger" (or is it a "thumb?") :thumbsup: appears to be on the bottom rear side of both carbs. It looks like a bolt goes through it?
 
i'll have to take some pictures, but i always figured the cutout was so that a smaller hole on the engine side of the carb could either allow air to pass the butterfly or allow the carb to tell how much vacuum/pressure was on the manifold side. i really don't know.
