You can always have it trailered to where you live.
Thats what I did with my TR6.

From Florida to Connecticut only costed me 500$
& that was an enclosed trailer...

Not bad for a Florida salt free car!

I'd be all over that, but my wife is interested in stuff like getting a house and having babies and investing for our future. Women!

I was watching one up in Washington on Craig's list for $1000. The picture looked good. It's not currently listed though. Here's another cheap Spitfire with factory hard top: Spitfire
 
Tell her it's an investment in the kids future. It didn't work for me but maybe your wife will buy it.

As soon as I saw the location (Whidbey Island),
I cringed.It's gotta be a rust bucket if it's been sitting
outside.Climate's a lot like the UK!

It IS a rustbucket! But the hard top may be good and some parts may make the $200 worth it. Or not.
 
i'd love a second engine but i haven't even got the first together. and i'd hate to sacrifice a second gt6 to the gods to keep mine complete.
 
Stop it already! I'm not even done with my six and find the GT6 a tempting next project.
