GT6 GT6 in Rock County WI

Wow that looks nice! And much much cheaper than the mk1 I bought. I wonder if it runs.

I want it for Christmas. I will kick my son's Volvo out of the garage to make room

But the MK1 is much better looking, at least IMO.

I agree, however, depending on the cost of repairs on the mk2 vs the cost of repairs to my mk1, settling for a mk2 might be worth it.

Problem here is Craiglist is a big place for scammers. When selling a car a scammer will find a pic of a nice car, one picture, add very little detail, and ask for a very great price to bait possible victims into using their escrow service.

I once knew a guy who no longer had his car, but a scammer had stolen pics, and tried to do exactly this. He apparently was very successful, because we had people join a forum the previous owner was on and discuss it. Each time it was listed in different states, and even on autotrader. Like this GT6, the price always looked reasonable, until you realized how expensive a car in that condition was truly worth.

That is very useful... ...but about #2... ...Theres like 5 days till 2010... ...Most of the people I know DONT have land lines. To be honest, the majority of the time weve lived in our house (6 years) we didnt even have one. With the cell phones so popular, there really is very little reason to have a land line these days. Only times we had one it was because it was part of a tv/internet package. I never know the number, never gave it out. And the only calls we ever got were telemarketers, wrong numbers, or people trying to contact the previous number owners.

Another thing is, how do you know its a cell phone number? Unless they physically tell you its one, how?

If your familiar with the prefixes used in a geographic area, its very easy to tell if its a cell phone or landline. I know from the prefix number of landlines in this area what city the land line is in. The prefix to my cell phone is '567'. In this area, that is strictly a cell phone prefix. Before number portability on cellphones, you could also tell what carrier it was by the prefix.
