Hello Fellow Enthusiasts; Recently acquired a "Garage Find" ( covered under various objects since 1981) 1972 Triumph GT6 MKIII.

California car, 99.9275% Rust Free!!!

Both rear vent windows are broken & need replacement.

My question/s are...Are ALL series of GT6 rear vent windows the same shape & thus are interchangeable?

Is the very thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin gasket available?

Is the rear vent window hinge attached to the vehicle body with pop rivets?

Hi Mark,
You'll need to find MkIII vent windows. Earlier windows are different.
Looking in Canley Classics' catalog, gasket availability is pretty much non-existent.
Four rivets on each side hold the vent window to the body.

Was considering the possibility of replacing the vent windows with a clear plastic.

The window gasket is seemingly Extremely Thiiiiiiiiiin!, might just use a bead of silicone in the channel of the frame, place in the window & allow the excess flowing silicone to form the "gasket" & wipe off the overflow...Mark
 
Where do you want me to sent these two I have? I'm in NC, so you might find some closer, they weigh about 5 pounds with glass in them. Pay for the shipping and what ever you think.
