Not that I in any way have disposable income right now, but this looks like it could be a blast. If it has the whole GT6 drivetrain then there wouldn't be a risk of the transmission or differential not being up to the task. Is this a viable conversion? GT6 Herald

A lot depends on two factors. One is the Herald itself. If this is really a '62, chances are it's got the early chassis, which means a: more of a challenge to shoehorn the six into the chassis, and b: a great challenge to the lesser strength of that chassis. Hopefully, it is the later and stronger chassis, which was introduced in mid-1962 on the Herald and shared with the Vitesse (Sports) 6. Assuming it's the later chassis, so long as the entire GT6 drivetrain (by which I mean gearbox [mandatory, as the Herald gearbox just won't work with the six. period.], differential AND front and rear suspension/brakes complete) is used, one basically ends up having a Vitesse with a Herald bonnet.
