Well, since a previous post referred to triple Webers ( have a set for my GT6 but have not installed them yet
) I want to add another wrinkle to the discussion. I just received a new GT6 catalog from Rimmers and they show a 6-3-1 stainless header for the GT6
. Who among you have some input on 6-3-1 headers and who has installed them on either a GT6 or TR6? With a complete 2" system w/headers and triple Webers I have to beleive a stock engine would greatly benefit.
BTW, I had a 45DCOE hung on a modified 77 Honda Civic with a 79 EB3 engine and with a Weber tuning book I was able to make that car run great on the street and autocross. There are a few important things to understand with Webers;
1) Float level is CRITICAL,
2) Synchronizing is also VERY important,
3) UNDERSTANDING what the Weber tuning books are trying to tell you is necessary,
4) Tools, some money, and PATIENCE help a LOT,
5) ONE CHANGE AT A TIME and take some notes as to what has happened,
6) All the circuits overlap so changes over here affect things over there.
The other choices are 1) stay stock, 2) spend a BUNCH more money or Kiehens (Jap crap, I can't remember how to spell it!), or 3) do the Webers becuase they are SO cool once you get them right. heck, the bragging rights alone are worth it
