I was hoping to get some suggestions and feedback for carpet and seat kit suppliers for my 69 GT6. I'm pretty sure VB is a no go for me.

Arguably, the best source is Newton Commercial in the UK. They do proper moulded carpets, and the upholstery kits are about as close to original as possible. Note that they do sell direct, but you might find it's less expensive to order from some of the many Triumph vendors that they supply. (Offhand, I don't know who carries their products, especially in the US, but hopefully they would tell you if you ask.)
 
Spit Bits (Google it) has seat cover kits for GT6s, not sure if they have carpet sets.

Spit Bits is a very reliable vendor, and the owner knows his Triumphs.

I agree with Andy that Newton Commercial is very good, with a very nice, molded carpet offering using the original factory jigs. They will quote you a price with shipping and seek your okay before ordering its production. They are not cheap given the exchange ratio, but offer a quality product.

I was looking at carpet from TRF, at $700.00 on sale + shipping, its a bit hard to justify. I found Heritage Upholstery in Wa./Canada, from there web page they seem ok, no prices listed. I just placed a request with Newton for complete carpet kit front and rear, headliner and seat strap kits to replace the broken diaphragms.
I'll let you know what I found.

I'm really mad at myself for not ordering a carpet set from TRF years ago when they were $350. I really don't see why they cost so much now. I can order moulded carpet sets for American cars for under $200. I would buy them from Newton, but I suspect the shipping will be a killer.
 
Well I placed my order with Newton Commercial this morning! I ordered front and rear carpet kits, headliner and 2 lower seat strap kits to replace my NLA diaphragms. With shipping it was just over $800.00. Shipping was about $135.00, not bad considering the shipping for just the headliner from a stateside vendor was $23.00.
Thanks Andy and Jeff for steering me in the right direction! (pun intended)

It sounds like a lot, but I would say that the shipping charges are actually pretty decent for a package that size from the UK to the US. I, for one, will be anxious to hear more about this once you receive the package: quality, etc.

Considering that the current "sale" price on just GT6 carpeting (presumably the same moulded carpet set) from one of the major US vendors totals out at nearly $700 before shipping, it all sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
 
Quick update:
My ordered shipped Friday 10-21, I had a note at my door this afternoon Tues. 10-25 my packaged arrived! Nobody was here to receive it so I'll pick it up tomorrow. If Newton's quality is anything like their service I know I'll be happy! More to follow
