Somehow, I had not discovered these before. They are sort of obscure in the Community section (and maybe I did not look to hard before either). I stopped by today at https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/group.php and joined the Model Railroading group, even though my hobby is slot cars. I hope if people here have other hobbies besides LBC's, we can find other people on this site who share our interests and can discuss them, and help each other out as well. If you have a hobby you think others share, why not try creating a group. I plan to add another there today for Digital Photography.

I had advertised the groups in posts at one time but they didn't really take off. Perhaps I could figure a way to make them less obscure.

Is there a way to give the groups its own section, like the "other auto related" or the "general discussion" section?

I agree Walt that that might help generate more traffic than being under the community heading right now. I did add a group on Transportation Museums where people can discuss museums around the world. I know I often try to fit at least one in each road trip. I posted one so far, but will be adding some others too.
