I was never a "fan" in the way I'm a Beatles fan or a Stones fan, but I did enjoy a lot of his stuff. There are definitely some songs that take me back.

He certainly fit the definition of an artist, even if I wasn't his biggest fan, I can respect how he was always pushing the envelope.
