Gregg Allman

Wow, always liked his music, but didn't realize he had such heartache in his life.

Rockets me back to the early '70's while in the USAF.... the brothers Allman and "Eat a Peach".

Sad indeed, though not unsurprising. 69 is not that old, but in road years he was at least 140.

Was on a weekend drive/tour with my local club (British Motor Club of Utah) when I saw the news. In the evening we were sitting out on the hotel's patio swapping songs and I played a little "Melissa" in his honor.

We need a "like" button.

Thank you. Thank you.

No applause needed. Just send money.

There is the "thumbs up" smiley.

:encouragement:

Actually kind of funny. Instead of replying "Like!", we want a button to do it for us.

Macon is doing a big memorial for Gregg Allman today. Some streets closed off and crowds several deep along the way. Photos of people camped out in tents to get a good spot.

Not surprised. That's the town where his brother Dwayne died in a motorcycle crash.

Last eve there was a Jimmy Buffett gig here, he did a nice tribute to Greg and credited the Allman Brothers for their contribution to music.
