The seaplane adventure is fantastic so far.
Great flight, good grub, on the ocean and
tonight is "Jump Up" night in town.

Fabulous 60th b-day week

Dale,
I have been trying to remember...was Fountain Valley golf course on St. Croix. That was the course were people around the pro shop were all killed in a raid a number of years back. I had played that course the same year this happened, but my feeble brain is not sure it was in St. Croix or elsewhere.

And Have a Very Happy Birthday!

Shucks, that's where you are, I forgot. Enjoy.

It just doesn't get any better than this.
Temps in the low 80s, our terrace right on the beach,
the food is so good, I'm needing to purchase a bigger belt!
A whole bunch of birthdays here at The Palms being celebrated.
Large party for a local 70 year man, a dude from PR hitting 60,
and a gal from Colorado hits 39 while another local man hits 39
as well. A few rounds and toasts last night.

The seaplane adventure was awesome and since it's only
15 minutes from our home, I think we will become regulars.
Drive to the plane, park the car, hand off luggage, get on
plane and arrive on some other island in under one hour.
That's less time that getting to SJU airport, parking,
baggage check, Homeland security check, etc.

Perfect day for a sailing adventure. Our driver arrives shortly.
No newspapers here so I hope the weather is just perfect
for everyone to hop into their LBC and zoom, zoom, zoom!

A grand time being had.

best to all,

D&W

Now THAT'S funny!

...and I'm jealous...

Enjoy the weekend!

6 degrees of separation:

So the Mrs ,who is a Brit and hates boats, books a
spur of the moment sailing cruise. Imagine???

Off season so not many folks abound. The Mrs finds a small
charter for 15 folks, we arrive and Blasted!...We get
stuck all day with a Holy man from Dale's old stomping grounds
in Bal-a-mer, MD.- Father Tom - church just down the street from Dale's old church..

It gets worse, Father Tom is friends with Deacon Mimi who
attended our wedding and is still a dear friend.

So me and the Mrs really have to watch ourselves and behave.

Blimey but it gets even worse. Father Tom's daughter Sally
is a Sunday school teacher down south at some real fancy, big
church.

Mickey!! Father Tom Carter sends his greetings and a big kiss
to his daughter Sally!!

How's THAT for 6 degrees??

Having a blast!!

So, as the aviaton enthusiast, I have just one question... What Kind of seaplane??? I have always wanted a flight in an old radial engine "proper" seaplane. No luck so far. It sounds like you are having a great birthday. It is a grand thing to do it up right. You might not feel so spry on the 60th anniversary of this trip.... Have some fun for me while you are there.

So today I am a sexy-tarian at 60.

My, my, my. Another beautiful day here on St. Croix.
We are taking an island tour in an open air jitney
with Mr. Sweeny as our guide.

There are many nice things to be said about
being retired. Sleeping in on a Monday is certainly
one of them. Breakfast by the beach is another.

regards to all,

Yup! It's rainy and overcast today here
on St Croix. Rain falling in sheets across the ocean.

Bright and sunny with temps in the low 80's over in
San Juan. Seems like a good day to pack up and head over
to home and sunshine.

St Croix has been a wonderful birthday gift.

signing off.
