My name is Dave. I'm a weights & Measures service tech for the Southern Tier.
It was requested from "Triumph Experience", that I should join this forum. So far, the forum is very thought out. Kudos to the admin.
I am new to British cars. Don't really know anything about them. However, I did purchase an old '58 TR3 two weeks ago. I am planning on traveling South and picking it up tomorrow. I am a bit excited about this new adventure. I do plan on restoring it to as good as I can get it.

Have you acquired the TR? Welcome aboard, too.

Yes. Picked it up last week. Definitely not going to be a budget rebuild.
HA! Are they ever?

Looks like pretty good bones, though. Looks like the one I restored a while back; someone painted it green, but was originally beige. How's the frame?

Hard to tell. There are some soft spots on the frame bottom that I can push with my finger. The box in the middle is crumbling. I have another frame that came with the car that is all solid.
My thoughts were to remove the body, and change over all the salvageable chassis components and work my way up.
I have some pictures of my progress yesterday>

Some pics of inside. Tearing down to remove body as whole, hopefully.
