I've been a Britcar fan since I first laid eyes on a Bugeye Sprite in a parking lot in 1960, and was instantly smitten. My first car was an iris blue '64 Sprite, in which I made a round trip from coastal North Carolina to Port Hueneme, CA in the summer of 1965. Since then I've restored eleven cars, including three Bugeyes, two "square body" Spridgets, an MGTF, an MGB, a Series II E-Type, and a Lotus Elan S4. My current "collection" consists of a '63 MG Midget, a '59 Bugeye, and the '69 Lotus Elan. Now that I'm 80, my ingress and egress from these tiny cars could be fodder for "America's Funniest Home Videos", and though I don't drive them very much nowadays, I just can't give them up.
