Got here late Friday night-switched gates
on us in Chicago, from one end of the airport to
the other,with a 15 minute notice.We got to our
plane just after they'd closed the doors. We got
on the next flight, three hours later.
I went to the Williamsburg show yesterday.
Only about 100 cars.Still,a lot of nice cars.
I'm hoping to go to the local MG club meet-
ing Wed. night.

I once lived in South Boston, VA and taught at Halifax Senior High. When South Boston and Norfolk played football the South Boston students made fun of the cheerleaders from Norfolk, VA with a very interesting cheer. The cheer was: We’re the girls from Norfolk… We don’t smoke. We don’t drink. Norfolk…

Only one who's lived there would know... "Newpernews" was next door.

Yep!I'm having to learn "Virginian".
Sound like a "Dumb Californian" otherwise.
Oh - wait -, I am one.

"Y'all combakanseeusnaw, heah!"

:smirk:

...an' that's "vu-GINyan", suh.

Drove a little ways from the Son's house -
saw a TR7 ('76 -sunroof,little rust)for sale,
drove up another road & saw a Jag (MK 9?)for sale,
plus another B,+ a nice '74 BGT,+4 RB B's.Drove a
lttle while & saw a '73 B (for sale),some rust,but
complete.
What are the odds?

There was a great guy in Hampton back-when, "B's Foreign Car Service". Independent two-man shop. Likely long gone now but was my haven while I was there. Lots of English cars due to the military influence. I found my Elan and two MGB's there.

It does strike twice! On the way back,
we were to switch planes in Chicago.Everything
was going smoothly until we were taxiing to our
gate we were informed that the plane at our gate
had mechanical trouble,& we would have to wait
for another gate.20+ minutes later,we were at the
other gate. Our departing flight was on the other
side of the of the airport.
My Wife left with our 5 year old Granddaugh-
ter, while I picked up our bags.I made it to the plane,
but they weren't there. They wouldn't hold the plane,
so I got off.On the way out, they were on the other
side of the locked door. The plane left with our lugg-
age.
We got a later flight, but this happening twice
was just too much. Why don't they hold the plane for
you if it was their fault that you were late?
I won't give the airline's name,but it's the
opposite of "Divided".
