Hello everyone. My name is John Patten and I am a relatively recent owner of a 1953 MG TD. Back in the late 60's I was the proud owner of two MGA 1600s. Didn't own them simultaneously, rather consecutively. My uncle owned an MG TF back then and, as a young man, I truly lusted after his car but, when I finally decided (some 60 years later) to buy one of the T's...I settled on the '53 MG TD and I am excited about having the new toy. The new toy, incidentally, that I "broke" within three hours of getting it off the covered transport. That's another story; however, let's just say it has been in the shop getting an engine rebuilt for the last several months.
Regardless, as the weather turns much nicer here in Indiana, I have been told I am not too far away from getting my TD back and, once that occurs, I'll see what other damage I can inflict. I will tell you, my wife moved me to the basement after I broke my toy! LOL (not really, but she gets a kick out of telling everyone the "story" and my (to this point) very short enjoyment of the TD.
Look forward to connecting and hope everyone is safe and well.

Meant to attach a picture of my toy before I broke it!
