hello all I'm John S from London, England & I have recently bought a 1972 MG B GT. I'll show you (attached). I owned a B soft top (roadster? convertible?? whatever) briefly in the 1980s, then followed a trajectory through Golf GTi's, a BMW 3-series & a Saab 9000 to mini van land. The little ones are all grown up (taller than their Mum) so now is the time for Dad to indulge himself. No "ultra low emission zone" charge, no road tax or annual MoT (fitness check) & smiles & thumbs up everywhere I go. what's not to like? she's actually BRG (looks black in the pic) & has the rsrlier "toothy grin" grille retrofitted rather than the honeycomb or shark mouth I guess she left the factory with.

John - welcome to BCF. That is one great looking MG! And further proof that the color "British Racing Green" has had several interpretations.

Where'd you find that wonderful car?

Croydon Classics. Not cheap - but it's just scored a 95 per cent pass rate on the MG Owners Club 100 point check (& the five consequential jobs are mostly within scope for this trainee grease monkey) (fingers crossed). thank you for your kind comments. I'll post more pix when the sun is a bit higher in the sky (winky face).
