I was directed to this site by another enthusiast.

Lots of cars clutter my garage. Among them (of the MG ilk) are an MGA Twincam race car

Re: Greeetings

Welcome! Love the Jamaican - and I know you'll be hearing from others, too.

Re: Greeetings

Nice collection! That Jamaican is neat, I don't recall seeing any pictures of one before

Re: Greeetings

Cool collection, and Welcome to the site! Lotsa good info here, maybe you can contribute and be helped at the same time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice Collection.....that Jamaican is very cool....

Re: Greeetings

Now that Jamaican even looks like a sports car. Welcome to our mess, glad to have you.

LOL this is a little less precise a forum than the TC guys. Really fun and informative Randi YDH61390

How do you like the 'MG' engine for the Jamaican..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

What - Twincam guys 'precise'? Well maybe you are right - not a bad word. I'll try to be 'imprecise' here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

And Basil, if you want Daytonas, check out the Lambo I posted in 'other'.

Although I didn't catch on until after I'd bought the Jamaican, they styled it after the Lamborghini Miura (OK, a bit loosely maybe)

Those are really slick guys.

Woohoo, a second Jamaican on the board (though yours is together and running).

Looks good - what is the frame and power on yours?

Mine WAS running before I took it apart to restore it. The engine goes in in the next couple of weeks and then I'll look at repainting - if I can just settle on the perfect shade of red.....

It was a TR4 live axle. The previous owner took the driveline out and put it into a TR4 though, so the current plan is to use a Ford 2.3L Turbo & T5 out of a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Just have to finish my TVR, Dad's Alpine, and get Dad's TR6 tuned up. Oh, and write my Masters thesis, Graduate, Move, and Start a new job. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif The Jamaican probably won't be done this summer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

HeeHeeeheeee... the typical "All ya gotta DO is..."

GET that Master's! "First Order of Business." The rest will fall in place, as required. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
