There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.
 
Contraption bolted to top of car is a loud speaker as loud as it is big on occasions kept it turned down while playing Blues Bros soundtrack (you can actually hear that line in the background of vid) or entertaining the crowd whether they wanted it or not headed down tomorrow for official start of race Sights & Sounds
 
I was surprised to see that the'll be stopping overnight
in Eureka (CA),my old home town.I guess "timing's everything".
That "Blues Brothers" Dodge sounds like the soundtrack
would get really old,after the first day (if you were in the car).

Great Race 2019 Route in one of pics just posted on Official Start been through Eureka in my TR6 several times coming or going to the NW from So Cali can only imagine the impact of this moving mass of automobiles & people businesses will love it. Not those 2 they loved every minute of it with persona to fit
 
When I lived there,we had a few car events that would show up
in the area - California Mille,cars would be there overnight,on the way
to the Pebble Beach Concours,on August 10th.
There's also the SCCA Concours on Main Street,in Ferndale,on
September 7th.
 
History of this International Event since 1983 Great Race has ended in Cali (San Bernardino) but never started here they had rallye on Friday others commented elsewhere they seen them 50 miles radius from downtown Riverside license plates from Finland Australia Holland Japan Switzerland Spain https://www.greatrace.com/route
